Client Tracking Software

Computer Repair Software?

I am planning to open a computer Shop. What software I can use to Bill Clients and where can I buy professional Slips to give to customers when they drop off their computers. I would like to be able to track Computer Repair Progress or status if it is completed. Something a computer store uses.

  1. One program that I found quite useful for tracking information and accounts payable and accounts receivable information is "Microsoft Office Accounting 2009". Well worth the money. On a cheaper solution you can print out customer's receipts via a normal black and white printer, or even program a receipt printer (not that expensive), and use a unique number for customers to track their computer's progress. And there applications (opensource as well) that you can use to have all information sent out by the receipt printer to setup a virtual time-line progression for customers to view on a website.
  2. Some sort of business finance or bookeeping software. Quicken and Peachtree come to mind, but there are others.
  3. well I am starting on a smaller scale sole trader from home? I am using Spreadsheet, for quotes on repairs, purchase, of parts for an upgrade or personal build. I had a friend who is into book keeping, make them up, totally modifiable to include or add GST, pending where I buy parts? I am offering my client the internet to do Bpay transfer, or cash, before I return their PC to them as I can't afford to chase debts? Home because of minimal overheads, compare to shop rental? If you have a book keeper to look at your books, suggest you ask what program he uses as, then he not looking in two data bases, and is easier. The small business course i did offered spreadsheet for profit and loss statements as well, as I have to do this for centrelink in AU. Good Luck
